We are back from South Africa, still suffering from jet lag, and trying to get a handle on our lives. There should be some post-blogging happening sometime in the not too distant future (fingers crossed). I need to complete the journey of Kristen and Ben's wedding and we need to write SOMETHING about the amazing and life changing experience we had more than 8,000 miles away from home.
Crazy things - while in SA I missed my 10 year high school reunion. Dave Stender, who did most of the organizing, was good enough to send me a link to the photos from the events. It was completely surreal to look through those photos. They were unlabeled, and there were many moment of "did I go to high school with that person?" Also many moments of "you look like someone I used to know but I can't quite place your face". It looks like it was a great event, and I'm bummed I missed it, but I wouldn't have given up the South Africa trip for anything.
Other aspects of craziness - opening day of football season. The Bears are currently beating the Colts? What year is it, 2006? Tom Brady may be out for the season? How many wasted first round fantasy football picks were wasted? The jury is still out on Brady, but some very surprising games today - who thought Atlanta was going to win or that Buffalo would dominate? Fortunately the 'Boys are off to a good start. Monday night football hosting the Eagles next week. Should be fun - provided the majority of my fantasy football league doesn't murder me - or make me watch the game outside!
That's all for now. Back-blogging coming sometime in the near future, once we get all the photos labeled!
